From November 5–10, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) successfully concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
For the first time in history, Petstar, a brand under Tianyuan Pet, made its debut at the CIIE, joining the themed pet exhibition zone “Paw Terminal.” Here, Petstar presented a diverse scene of quality lifestyle solutions alongside world-class brands from categories such as home living, luxury goods, beauty & skincare, fashion, and outdoor sports.
A Group Appearance That Highlights New Scenarios in the Pet Economy
Following the rapid growth of sectors such as maternity and beauty, the pet industry is emerging as a powerful new driver of consumer spending. According to KPMG’s 2025 China Pet Industry Market Report, the urban dog and cat market surpassed RMB 300 billion in 2024 and is expected to exceed RMB 400 billion by 2027. Pets are shifting from “functional companions” to “family members,” becoming an essential emotional bond for millions of people.
This year’s CIIE marked the first time a dedicated pet exhibition group appeared in Consumer Goods Hall 5.1. Featuring 16 companies and 25 brands, the zone showcased a strong lineup covering pet food, supplements, smart devices, apparel & travel, eco-friendly cat litter, healthcare products, and cutting-edge items for both humans and pets. Beyond conveying the modern concept that “pets are important family members,” the exhibition vividly illustrated the vision of harmonious human–pet living, creating a global platform for open exchange within the booming pet economy.
Petstar Presents Seamless Pet-Inclusive Travel Solutions
As a full-category pet products brand under Tianyuan Pet, Petstar designed its booth with a strong alignment to the “Paw Terminal” theme, focusing on its outdoor product line. The display was structured around three stages of pet-inclusive travel: before departure, during the journey, and upon arrival.
From lightweight carry solutions before travel, to hydration and feeding products used along the way, and pet-friendly accessories suited for stops such as service stations and hotels at the destination, Petstar demonstrated a seamless, integrated travel experience, delivering the brand’s vision of a harmonious lifestyle shared by people and pets.
On-site, Petstar’s eye-catching booth design attracted government representatives, media, and industry partners for discussions, while also drawing a steady stream of visitors eager to take photos and share their experience, making the booth a standout highlight of the entire exhibition zone.
Mainstream Media Shine Spotlight on the Pet Industry
Since its launch in 2018, the CIIE has continued to strengthen its four major platforms: international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange, and open cooperation. Its rigorous selection standards are widely regarded as indicators of future consumption trends and lifestyle direction.
This year, the collective debut of the pet industry at this national-level expo signaled a turning point. Presenting a harmonious vision of life shared between humans and pets on such a prestigious stage not only increased public awareness and mainstream visibility of the pet economy but also confirmed that what was once considered a “niche market” has now entered the center of consumer attention. The future of the “pet economy” is unfolding with unprecedented momentum.
During the expo, mainstream media, including China Central Television (CCTV), offered high-profile coverage of the pet industry. Petstar was invited for an interview with well-known anchor Bai Yansong, which aired on CCTV’s News 1+1, sparking strong nationwide interest.
This extensive global exposure not only elevated the pet industry’s presence but also reshaped consumer perception: pet care is no longer simply about feeding, but about fulfilling higher expectations for nutrition, health, convenience, emotional companionship, and quality of life. For “pet parents,” responsible and loving pet care is becoming a meaningful expression of affection.
Tianyuan Pet Showcases Innovation and Vision on a National Stage
Through its debut at the CIIE, Tianyuan Pet demonstrated its strong capabilities in product innovation and lifestyle-driven scenario design. The brand also conveyed its philosophy of “Making Pet Care Healthier” on a national platform. As a key driver of the pet economy, Tianyuan Pet is actively shifting the industry from “product thinking” to “co-creating lifestyle solutions.”
As more international brands enter China and more Chinese brands step onto the global stage, this “Paw Terminal” gathering at a major national event will continue to push the pet economy forward as a new global growth engine. Tianyuan Pet will remain committed to its mission, developing high-quality products and services that bring a better human-pet lifestyle to thousands of homes.
