On March 8, the press conference for the 4th Shanghai Pet Fashion Week was held at the Shanghai International Fashion Center, officially kicking off a grand pet fashion event under the theme of “TOGETHER WE SHINE”.
This year’s fashion week has been comprehensively upgraded in terms of participating brands, exhibition scale, audience engagement, themed activities, and cross-industry interactions. The event, covering over 10,000 square meters, will feature 15 pet fashion runway shows, 13 pet pop-up events, and 5 pet sports competitions, with an estimated attendance of 200,000 pet enthusiasts and industry professionals.

At the press conference, Yu Xiaochun, Vice President of Tianyuan Pet and Head of the Petstar brand, delivered an inspiring speech as a representative of the invited brands. She highlighted the growing societal focus on the emotional value of pets, with more people viewing them as “companions,” “friends,” and even “family members.” Petstar fully embraces this philosophy, designing its products from a “dual-perspective”—both the pet’s and the owner’s. The “pet perspective” ensures that all products cater to the biological instincts and emotional needs of pets, while the “owner perspective” aligns pet products with human aesthetics, making them a natural extension of home decor.
As a fashion-forward pet brand, Petstar has always been defined by “fashion, aesthetics, and art,” engaging with users through a variety of unique and creative activities. Yu Xiaochun also highlighted Petstar’s innovative approach during last year’s fashion week, where the brand seamlessly integrated Hanfu elements into pet clothing, bringing Oriental aesthetics to life on the runway with the only Chinese-style showcase of the event. For this year’s fashion week and throughout 2025, Petstar will continue deepening its connection with traditional and local cultures, fully embracing the Oriental aesthetics label to create modern, evolving fashion expressions.
“The vitality of culture lies in reinterpretation.” Petstar aims to use cross-industry, Eastern-inspired, and artistic approaches to make culture a spiritual bridge between people and their pets, reshaping the way humans and pets coexist in everyday life.
This vision aligns perfectly with the theme of this year’s Shanghai Pet Fashion Week, “Harmony and Coexistence.” The concept of “unity in diversity” reflects a world where all living beings thrive together, symbolizing not only the symbiosis between humans and pets but also an emotional and lifestyle connection that transcends species.
As a strategic partner of the event organizer, this marks Petstar’s fourth consecutive participation in Shanghai Pet Fashion Week. This year, Petstar will present three themed new product launch shows, including an exclusive collaboration with JD Pet to introduce China’s first-ever “Human-Pet Fashion Aesthetics” showcase, bringing the “Fun Outdoors, Natural Wild” collection to life.
