On August 24, the 27th Asia Pet Fair successfully concluded at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. With a record-breaking exhibition space of 310,000 sqm, the show once again set a new benchmark for the industry. Over 2,600 exhibitors and companies brought together more than 20,000 brands to this annual pet trade event, attracting more than 510,000 visitors, among which over 70% were young consumers. This remarkable turnout reflected the booming vitality and promising future of China’s “pet economy.”
As the flagship event for the pet industry in the Asia-Pacific region, the Asia Pet Fair is not only a global highlight every year but also an influential platform for innovation, knowledge exchange, and trade success. This year, the Asia Pet CEO Summit was held on August 19, bringing together top executives from multinational groups and leading import-export enterprises. Mr. Xue Yuanchao, Chairman and President of Tianyuan Pet, was invited to join the “CEO Dialogue,” where he shared insights on strategic choices for pet enterprises under the shifting global trade landscape. He highlighted opportunities in cross-border capacity collaboration brought by “tariff restructuring,” sparking a meaningful discussion with global peers on the future of the pet industry.
A Grand Showcase of Six Major Brands
During the 27th Asia Pet Fair, Tianyuan Pet made a powerful impression by showcasing its six major brands and demonstrating its strength as a leading listed company with a full-category product portfolio and a comprehensive pet industry ecosystem. The spotlighted brands included Petstar, Tianyuan Pet, Weidao Yinji, Perfect Enjoy, New Food Era, Kira, and Tapin, an internet platform dedicated to supporting pet stores. This marked Tianyuan Pet’s largest-ever presence at the fair.
Mr. Xue Yuanchao emphasized that the exhibition aimed to highlight Tianyuan Pet’s integrated industry chain capabilities. Notably, Tapin, Tianyuan Pet’s first acquisition project, has become the go-to partner for pet store operations. Guided by its slogan, “Making it easier for pet stores to make money,” Tapin has served over 52,000 pet stores in the past eight years. By directly connecting upstream brands and quality factories, Tapin reduces distribution costs and delivers high-value pet products. Today, it not only offers complete solutions for pet stores but is also expanding into service innovation and offline consumer experiences, further empowering pet store businesses.
Petstar: Pioneering the Human-Pet Friendly Lifestyle
At the exhibition, Petstar received exceptional attention with the debut of its “Human-Pet Friendly Lifestyle Showroom,” co-created with the renowned real estate brand Shanghai Chengtou Kuan Ting. This 1:1 immersive space presented a beautiful vision of harmonious living between people and pets.
Mr. Yu Xiaochun, Vice President of Tianyuan Pet and head of the Petstar brand, revealed that in August, Tianyuan Pet and Shanghai Chengtou officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on new consumer scenarios. Together, they will promote model projects for human-pet friendly communities, responding to the growing number of Gen Z tenants and the rising demand for pet-inclusive living.
This collaboration aims to create a holistic ecosystem around human-pet lifestyles—from space design and service systems to community culture. At the fair, the partners launched the industry’s first human-pet friendly home and community design concept under the theme “Pet Economy+.” With a focus on both indoor residential settings and public community spaces, the project integrates interactive designs and cultural narratives, drawing wide recognition and praise from visitors.
Looking ahead, Tianyuan Pet will continue leveraging the Petstar brand to pioneer full-scenario solutions for human-pet lifestyles, blending lifestyle aesthetics with Chinese cultural influences to create new, inspiring ways of pet-friendly living.
